I am currently appointed as a full-time Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust My vision is to provide a World-class comprehensive cataract and glaucoma service, including laser and surgical management of complex cataract and glaucoma cases. I am particularly interested in the latest advances in modern small incision cataract surgery, correction of astigmatism and intraocular lens implants.   Here’s some more information about my career and dedication to eye-care.

Cataract Expert

Expert in complex cataract surgery. Over 7000 procedures performed over 15 years. As glaucoma and cataract are both age-related conditions, the complexity of managing both is a highly specialised area within ophthalmology. As a full-time NHS Consultant Ophthalmologist, I am continuously audited. My complication rates are are well below the national average. Glaucoma Expert

Expert in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS). One of the first ophthalmic surgeons who have used the iStent G1 more than 5 years ago. I teach other Glaucoma surgeons in the Glaukos Masterclass both nationally and internationally.
